Electric vs. Gas Leaf Blower: Which Makes More Sense for a Homeowner?
Electric and gas blowers solve the same job with very different ownership routines. The better choice is usually obvious once you look at the cleanup route.

Electric is the easy starting point
For driveways, patios, beds, and normal leaf cleanup around a house, electric is easier to store, quieter, and simpler to grab. If it can cover the route you actually clean, I would not add fuel and engine maintenance just for the idea of having more blower.
Battery or corded electric?
Corded electric can make sense near the house if the route is small and power access is easy. Battery is the better fit when the job moves around the property and an extension cord would be another thing to drag through beds and around trees. Neither is automatically enough for every long cleanup day, but both avoid the fuel routine of gas.
Gas earns its place on a long route
Gas can make sense when cleanup takes a long time and you already prefer that ownership routine. The tradeoff is fuel, storage, maintenance, and more noise. Do not call it better by default; call it appropriate when the work justifies it.

Think about the cleanup plan, not just airflow
A blower only moves leaves. On a large yard, you still need to decide whether you are bagging, hauling, composting, or leaving a manageable layer to mulch. A gas blower does not fix a weak collection plan, and an electric blower is not automatically too small just because the property has trees.
Buy for the leaves you really have
