Editorial policy
Advice first.
Links second.
What we aim to publish
We publish practical buying guides for homeowners. A useful guide should answer the real decision, explain the tradeoffs, and tell the reader when a cheaper, smaller, or simpler option is enough.
Research and accuracy
We research manufacturer documentation, owner manuals, product specifications, compatibility, current availability, and relevant support information. Retailer listings can help identify a purchase option, but they are not the source we rely on for important technical claims.
Product details change. We update material claims when we have reliable current information. We do not publish invented prices, runtime figures, warranties, compatibility claims, or performance results.
Testing and experience
We do not claim firsthand testing unless it has actually occurred and is stated in the article. Research-based recommendations are still useful, but they should be presented honestly.
Recommendations and affiliate links
Affiliate commissions do not decide the conclusion of a guide. We include a recommendation only when it fits the use case being discussed. Not every article needs products or outbound links.
